I AM NOT HER // Joiner - SirDio - 10-11-2020

Stheno

Gentle were the waves that caressed her body, scaled and furred, as she slept on the beach. Taken to the barren land... well, mostly barren -- by a hefty storm, the hybrid found herself waking up from a usual dream. Her eyes set upon green borders of deadly plants, with wastes beyond the borders. Jaws parting in a yawn, the hybrid slipped by the snapping jaws of oversized flytraps, darting to and fro until she was free of them. Silver eyes set upon the blue sky as her muscled flexed, hood and all. Her tongue flicked out cautiously as she scanned the area for movement. Lush green borders followed by a mainly barren inland seemed too unnatural. Someone had to be here.

She looked for movement in the distance, tongue flicking out in hopes of finding someone. Or maybe not. Probably not. But most likely someone had to had made the plants.

The sound of violently snapping jaws alerted the leader, causing his head to snap in the direction of the chaos. He sauntered towards the noise. Neon hues surveyed the land. His gaze caught on a rather long stranger in the distance. A low growl sounded out from his throat as he grew closer, sulking underneath the underbrush. Trespasser? Enemy? Joiner? Stryker didn't know... and he didn't like that.

The Kingpin crept up from behind. Usually he would allow them to speak, but with the recent drama within The Pitt, he wasn't feeling so accepting of random visitors. Needless to say, the lion moved quick. Stryker jolted out from the bushes, aiming to jump onto their back and dig his claws into the hybrid's shoulder. His attempt was a trial at pushing them to the floor in an attempt at pinning them. Whether successful or not, he let out a growl. "Who are you, buttercup?" Snark cockiness filled his tone. He wasn't playing any games today.

Tongue flicking only picked up so much. Her eyes hadn't spotted the lion as he got behind her; her only blindspot was where she couldn't see. The rustling caused her to react all too late as Stryker launched at her, but she was built to move fast. Those damned uprights did something right, at least.

She moved out of the way as fast as her somewhat wobbling legs could, allowing his paws to slam into her hauches and driving her still into the ground. An aggravated mix between a hiss and a yowl ripped from her throat as her hood flaired and her neck raised to meet her attacker's face. Her jaws opened to show her thickened fangs as she let out a hiss. "Is that any way to welcome someone who just washed up on your fucking beach, pale-ass?" Her eyes focused on him, head and neck scrunching up as she hissed again, "My name is Stheno. And I-" Her head, neck, and her upper body lunged out toward Stryker, aiming to bite his paw. Should the bite be successful, she would not deliver venom. But successful or not, she finished her sentence. "Just washed up here."

If Caesar could hear Stheno's thoughts regarding the plants, he would argue that technically speaking, the fact that the carnivorous plants were here wasn't exactly proof that someone lived on this island - but in a way, she wasn't entirely wrong. These plants had grown far too quickly for there not to have been some influence on them. But unfortunately, the savannah couldn't read Stheno's thoughts at the moment.

What he was able to notice though, like Stryker, was the sound of the plants snapping their jaws at something and soon followed by Stryker's mouth - and an unfamiliar voice. Following the sound of those voices, Caesar came to see Stryker pinning down a hybrid of sorts, but didn't really do anything to stop the attempt Stheno made on the Kingpin. Not that he could, anyway; he didn't exactly possess the elementals to try and deflect Stheno's attack.

"Aren't you a little feisty, hm?" Caesar hummed, clearly amused by Stheno and the way she shot back insults at Stryker.[glow=COLOR,1,400]✧*:・゚[/glow]

A snicker left him. Of course it was rude. The Pitt wanted his head now, The Typhoon didn't know of their existance, and the other groups were on the verge of disowning him too. Any chance to defend his home was a must now, especially with washed-up nobodies like this hybrid. "I thought it was rather nice, actually," he shot back. "I could have done much worse but instead I spared you." Stryker always liked giving others a chance though. Especially the mifits. No fucking wonder Caesar managed to stay within their ranks, otherwise he'd be exiled like the rest.

Following his quick words, a snapping jaw came directly towards him. Stryker reeled back. Her teeth raked at the top of his paw, causing him to let out a vile hiss. Blood began to seep from his paw. Luckily for the both of them, neither administered their own venom. How polite of the two snake-like animals. "Stheno, eh?" the lion spat. "Why are you here then?"

If her eyes could narrow, she would have done so to Stryker. But alas, her genes allowed no such thing. But her head snapped to face Caesar, and she gave him a furious hiss. What did this piss-colored cat think he was doing? But she paid him no more attention as she turned to face Stryker again. Suffocating the anger that boiled inside her, she let herself smirk. Her voice softened, a menacing lull, "A storm thought me a perfect throwing object, so to speak. Blame the weather; I'm too weary-legged to even try and swim back." She chuckled darkly to herself.

Digging her claws into the ground, she writhed and wiggled her way out from Stryker's grasp. Moving to where she could see both Caesar and Stryker, she sat down with her head held high. "多分私はとどまるべきです。ほほほ!"

/// 多分私はとどまるべきです。ほほほ! means "Maybe I should stay. Hohoho!"///

Caesar hissed back whenever Stheno hissed at him, narrowing his eyes at her, though considering Stryker was doing a fine job making sure she didn't go anywhere. That is, until Stheno lashed out at him and slithered away whenever Stryker pulled back.

"Speak English, dipshit." Caesar growled, rolling his eyes whenever the strange creature spoke in Japanese. Sure, he could speak in some other languages, but Japanese was definitely not in his vocabulary. Unfortunately. He wanted to tell Stheno that she was in some tough shit, that she needed to either swim away from here or face the consequences - preferably the latter; Caesar has been itching to get some blood on his paws, if he was quite honest. But alas, that wasn't a smart idea, especially with the Kingpin here, and so, Caesar remained silent.[glow=COLOR,1,400]✧*:・゚[/glow]
