LOST IT ALL, FELL TODAY, IT'S ALL THE SAME - Grief/ Mental Breakdown - Byriath - 05-21-2021

[sup]© tikki[/sup]SOMEONE TO HEAR YOUR PRAYERS This was getting worse. So much worse. Saturn's gone, Ruven fucking died and came back (big fucking whoop), the great and powerful leader Sojourn was gone by her own hands, and now Aphra rose to leadership. It was getting to be too much for the god, who paced around in his home. Every time he stopped he trembled, looked around frantically. His creator's words rang in his head. He stared at the hour glass that was slowly draining itself, the noise that once soothed him making him irritated, angered. It felt like he was hearing Saturn's breath slowly get reduced to nothing, and he hated it. Anger filled his body, a grief-based anger that he couldn't control, as he approached the hour glass. "Shut up... shut up! Shut up!" He raised his massive paw, teeth bared as he yelled, "SHUT THE FUCK UP!" and crashed his paw against the hourglass, sending it crashing into the floor, shattering on contact. And as it broke he let out a strangled sob. Seems like all we had is over now, "Speech" 'Telepathy'You're left to rest. And my fears are over now, I can leave with my head down.. The grief that Byriath was going through was almost palatable and it made Aphra's heart ache for the guy. Even if they had their disagreements and arguments, she almost felt the Guru's grief in her soul. She would never understand the grief of losing a loved one, since all she ever really felt was lust as opposed to love, but what she did relate to was the hurt she felt when Roxanne choose Diya over her. Again, an emotion that had been powered by lust, so Aphra couldn't fully understand the hurt Byriath was going through. Aphra... didn't really know how to make things better for the Guru. She didn't know how to make things better for anyone. The woman was hesitant in knocking on Byriath's door but eventually mustered up the courage to, knocking at his door as she gently called out, "Byriath? I... wish to give you something." It wouldn't be much, but it was the least she could do at the moment.[glow=COLOR,1,400] ━ ✧*:・゚[/glow] Re: LOST IT ALL, FELL TODAY, IT'S ALL THE SAME - Grief/ Mental Breakdown - Romulus - 05-21-2021 So much for a God. Romulus would have thought his impenetrable soul and frivolous personality would never succumb to such child's play. While he expected a mere mortal like himself to fall, Bryiath was a surprise. At the sound of the larger being's frustrations, the lion's laugh began quiet. As his temper tantrum continued audibly, the wanderer's laugh transformed into a wicked cackle at the irony that was presented before him. Fools. All of them. Why bother caring anymore? He had cared too much, hadn't he... Only for them to die. Uncharacteristic of him, the grieving brother just continued to wander past. There was nothing he could do. If the holiness above couldn't handle the mortal world around them, then why should he? //mmm thank you for this good post, can prompt some stuff off this for rom Re: LOST IT ALL, FELL TODAY, IT'S ALL THE SAME - Grief/ Mental Breakdown - Byriath - 05-22-2021

[sup]© tikki[/sup]SOMEONE TO HEAR YOUR PRAYERS Byriath forced himself to quiet down, condense the emotions he felt. With Aphra at his door and the wicked laugh of some fool outside, he was certainly struggling. Not trusting his physical voice to keep calm, he tried to reach into Aphras mind to speak telepathically. "You may enter." and he felt tired suddenly. Tired and so, so angry. Romulus's maniacal laughter was... concerning, if not for the meltdown that his sister just had not too long ago. Aphra watched Romulus saunter past, her torn ear flicking. Are they all destined to lose their minds? It was quite amusing to think about, actually. The Malus family was destined to fall to their own minds, how ironic. Turning her attention back to Byriath's home, the Guru's voice entered her mind, causing her to grit her teeth a bit. From what she could tell, however, he had just sent a telepathic message to her and wasn't trying to lurk in her mind. So, with permission given by the god of War, Aphra opened the door and entered the Guru's home, shutting the door behind her. Carefully, she approached him and set down a rose. "Listen, I know... I'm not the best person. But Saturn's death seemed to have hit you hard. I am sorry for your loss." Those last words had very little meaning, even if she intended on 'caring' for Byriath and his relationship with Saturn. She did not care for Saturn at all, but Byriath was valuable as a Guru - someone that was needed here. She could not afford for him to descend into madness.[glow=COLOR,1,400] ━ ✧*:・゚[/glow] Re: LOST IT ALL, FELL TODAY, IT'S ALL THE SAME - Grief/ Mental Breakdown - angelembrace - 05-23-2021
Saturn's death had been tragic, leaving an empty ache in his chest. Something important had been lost, he found, the world felt a little more cruel. Saturn had managed to keep their head up and offer a sense of gentleness that the rest of the Coalition lacked, an understandable notion but it almost held Saturn to a higher regard in that case. Few could match, but it was a necessary place to keep filled with anyone who could manage to survive it. He was not a saint, nor was he of the belief he could hold the Coalition together with his own paws while it seemed everyone was losing their minds, exhausted and overwhelmed, but he would try. Among Saturn's underlings, formerly nestled beneath their wings metaphorically and quite literally, it was Angel and Angel only who was capable of returning the favor of that helpful and kinder hearted assistance. Granted, he was a little more blunt, perhaps a little harsher. As evident by his initial response within himself at the breakdown of the Guru. Byriath's curses were not quiet nor were they subtle, and even Aphra had arrived to offer condolences. Angel, on the other hand, frowned with a furrowing of his brow, letting out a long sigh and tossing the small leather satchel he had pulled from the ruin to collect more life saving herbs for later, for Byriath in fact. He could come back for it later. He let his mother enter and close the door first, briefly observing Romulus wander past cackling madly in a way that he thought mimicked his sister. It made him feel a sense of uncomfortable dread. He cared not for knocking, while he usually would this was not the time to sit and wait patiently, and had a much different approach in mind for the Guru. One that he could not say was fake on his part or disingenuous. Minutes passed after the rose was offered, the door pushed open gingerly though Angel's expression was strict, the frown had yet to leave. He cast his pale yellow gaze to the shattered glass and freed sand beneath, a tinge of despair entered his heart, somewhere Saturn's fate had not yet left its mark. The one thing that had been present, meant so much he assumed, for as long as he could remember. "Byriath." Angelembrace said firmly, tail curling behind him, brushing the glass shards over to the side without cutting himself. He had no will to look at the destruction. your little hands of paradise, give them here and hang on tight

Gently he reached for it, took it into his massive paws and held it close to his chest. He sighed, looked to the new Kingpin, and then looked to Angel as he sat down. "Thank you. It means... It means a good bit." And then he directed his gaze to the boy he had essentially adopted at this point. "What is it, AngelEmbrace?" The interaction was a bit awkward, but something Aphra expected; her and Byriath often disagreed with each other, but regardless - she still needed him here. An ear flicked to show she heard Angelembrace, dipping her head to Byriath as a farewell before exiting the Guru's home. //out![glow=COLOR,1,400] ━ ✧*:・゚[/glow] Re: LOST IT ALL, FELL TODAY, IT'S ALL THE SAME - Grief/ Mental Breakdown - angelembrace - 05-25-2021
As Aphra passed him, leaving to do whatever it is she meant to do after this interaction, Angelembrace pulled his attention back to what it was he was meaning to say. How to go about it...he didn't want to be hurtful, and he was grieving just as much, but there was a pressing matter at hand that he and his mother could agree on, for once. "I'll...I'll have another hourglass made for you, when this is all over." The cub said with a small sigh, biting on his tongue lightly. Gods, he wished Saturn were here. "I came to check on you, I know it hurts. But we're really going to need to you keep it somewhat together, Byriath. That's probably a lot to ask, but you're the only Guru we have, and I think Saturn would agree with me, you're too valuable to go...spiraling?" He offered a nervous smile, clearing his throat as he rocked back and forth on his paws just a little bit. Was that good enough? your little hands of paradise, give them here and hang on tight
