the pup was thrilled to have found what she needed finally. she had shells, twine, and some pretty stones. she was currently laying, surrounded by so many things. putting together some necklaces as best she could. she even put together a few bracelets. it was taking forever, but she was working on a finall one. this one was a lovely bracelet with a single sea shell in the front.

this shell was white, with a small heart in the center. she wove a few shiny green gems she found into the twine and then added some smaller, tan esk shells. once it was done, she tied it off properly and held it close. she hoped laertes would like it. she hoped others would want some of her other jewelry as well.

Big steps. The Utahraptor carefully maneuvered around the Condemned’s village, watching the ground and minding her sickle claws. Adjusting to the difference between her serval body to this form required overthinking daily activities, least she accidentally crush someone.

But walking around like this made her observant, so Ninazu was the first to notice the girl’s necklace craftsmanship.

“Hey, Zuriela. Are you making those to trade?” She leaned down, tilting her head slightly to the right to get a better look at the seashell jewelry. “They look lovely.”

They weren't all that familiar with the idea of making things. Honestly, that wouldn't stop them from investigating what was going on with the small gathering around a pup. The spider dragon scuttled on over, their shill tipped to portray curiosity; they had no facial expressions to make with their hard chitin, and had to settle for an exaggerated tone instead. What was being made? Could they participate? They were intrigued, and their mandibles clicked a little as the little creature came closer.

They weren't familiar with jewelry. Clothing, yes; they wore a cloak of moss that was imbedded into their very being, tied to them like a protective blanket that was thicker than their actual hide. To see such a craftsmanship was fascinating to them, who had never the luxury of seeing such a thing in their short life before.

"They look awesome!" Greeny bounced off the Utahraptor's overheard words, their wings buzzing to express delight. "Do you think you could show me how to make one? I'd love to make some! I can make silk, if we- you're using string, right? Maybe I can make some string!"

the sound of bigger footfalls alerted the pup to the presence of someone larger. her eyes pulled up from the gift she made for laertes and fell upon the woman. ninazu was a face she knew from her joining. the woman had helped with her paws and she was grateful for that fact. so, the little fire tipped ears twitched as words greeted them.

"hello.." that soft voice returned the greeting warmly before she paused in thought. "trade them..?" she asked curiously before shaking her head slightly. "no ma'am.. i made them as gifts for anyone here that wanted them.."

a respectful reply, as was her normal. the complement made her look away sharply as if embarrassed. "thank you.. it was something mother taught me.. before she disappeared.." then, another came and she looked to the stranger curiously. this one was different in looks and she liked that about them.

she had never met someone that looked so unique before. well, ninazu and laertes both were unique, but not like this. a spider dragon was a new thing. at the question, she blinked in surprise. "teach you..? i can try to.. i have never taught before.." she mused softly.

then she would look to the shells and stones she had left. "string or silk would work.. would you like shells, stones, or both..?" she asked as she looked up with a small smile toying with her maw.

Her head tilted. “Well, if you’re sure…? Though you shouldn’t give out too many freebies, otherwise people might expect it and take advantage.” She’d learned this lesson years ago in the Pitt, before she’d been promoted to their guru equivalent. But here, in the Coalition’s territory, she often forgot how it was easier to be kind and generous with the abundance of resources.

Ninazu leaned down and snagged a necklace with a claw. She’d heard of a meditative practice of counting blessings for every bead on a necklace until traversing the whole thing, and Zuriela’s creation looked perfect for the job. Though she’d have to mind her claws with the string—which added a challenge to the meditation, so perhaps not such a bad thing. [color=#b1fe4e]“Hmmm, I like this one. Let me know if you change your mind about wanting payment; I’ll owe you a favor.”

As the Utahraptor straightened up, she glanced between the spider-dragon and flame-tinged fox. She hated to grab and run, but she didn’t have much interest in a jewelry lesson. Assuming Zuriela didn’t catch her attention for further conversation, help, or a trade, Ninazu turned to prowl out of the village, hunting for elk while the youngsters played.
