KEROSENE
Katherine
It was a quiet morning in Blackfall. A low cloud of mist hovered in the city streets yet the sun was high in the blue skies. Many NPCs walked the streets, Katherine in the midst of a rather large crowd of people. The platinum-blonde girl was wearing the uniform of a military trainee, that she had stolen and a small iron dagger was held tightly in one of the leather gloves she was wearing.

For a few minutes, Katherine wandered around the marketplace before she headed away from it and towards the forest outside of Blackfall's city into a ravine where many of the trees had been cut down, by a sword it had appeared. The fourteen year-old girl spent most of her time so she could learn how to use a sword herself. But, for now, she merely took a seat by a tree and closed her eyes.

Frederick had dreamed of going back to the sweet surrenders of being a child, but he was growing old and it was assumed that there was no turning back from that monstrosity. Simply, life was short. He should of spent it wisely. All the sword training and being a kiss-ass to the former King was not the best thing he could of done for the sake of enjoyment, but it was best for his country. That seemed to really matter. Nevertheless, he would kill to be like young Katherine. A simple child once again that didn't know the truths of the world or her own secrets. The day those would come out would be a disaster for the both of them. Prometheus be damned.

Walking along with his eyes on the child in the distance, these thoughts swarmed his head. Though, he would not share them with her. No, that was for him to know. Frederick, as his thoughts moved away, finally reached her position. His voice rumbled from the shadows of the forest as he turned the corner. "It's nice to see you enjoying the weather." At least he assumed so. To him, her eyes were closed so blissfully and satisfying, as if she was taking in the world around her.

He let himself fall to the floor beside her, but did not invade her space on the tree stump. A light sigh left him. "My name is Frederick," he continued on. The female, admittedly, did not look familiar but his gaze narrowed inquisitively. "You seem familiar, dear. What's your name?" If she were to repeat her last name, he would create a false pretense that implied her own parents were once apart of Griffingate. In most cases, this would seem like kidnapping... and it still was, but right now, he was killing to get more soldiers.

//I'm so sorry. I've been super busy as of late.

KEROSENE
Katherine
Upon hearing the small thud of the Griffingate Sovereign taking a seat right beside her, Katherine would tighten her grasp on her dagger and opened her eyes. Panicking, the young girl would jump to her feet and point the tip of her weapon towards Frederick's neck. "My name is Katherine. Katherine Siu."

Her gaze still focused on the stranger, she grit her teeth. "Now, what are you doing here? I don't know you, and I would have seen you around Blackfall if you were an actual member."

Pure innocence. The fright in her eyes and the grip on her dagger showed she was unable to defend herself, but the sovereign held himself together. His head dipped to the side momentarily. Hazel eyes searched her body slowly, only to meet up at her own eyes to look her in the eye. Frederick's gaze now held the facade of remembrance. "I knew you were a Siu," came his surprised tone. "It's a pleasure to see a Griffingate member in the wrong place at the wrong time." Frowning, he offered a chuckle. If only the Blackfallen knew he was roaming their streets and soon planned to meet their leader toe to toe. For now, he had to go with the shadows.

Though, her statement questioned his true intentions. The brunette just smirked, offering a sly answer immediately that held no mischievous tone. "In search of Griffingaters gone wrong, Katherine"  His hand aimed to reach at Katherine's shoulder and his gaze attempted to lock with hers. "Blackfallen men stole you quite awhile back, dear. Poor parents though, they weren't the luckiest of the bunch during the rebellion," he went on to say. "I dearly hope your fake family is treating you well though." Gaze narrowing, Frederick challenged for her to say something back as he rolled his shoulders back and held a mountain pose. "Though..." His lips pursed. "I'd say that we'd be a better fit for you." After all, she had quite the instinct for such a small child.

KEROSENE
Katherine
At the enemy Sovereign's words, Katherine would glare in Frederick's direction and she held her chin up high. "I am a member of Blackfall. Not a member of Griffingate. You must have mistook me for someone else you're looking for. Now, if you'll excuse me, my older sister is awaiting me."

Shuddering as Frederick placed a hand on her shoulder, she would look down at him with a burning look of fury. "You are wrong. I am the younger sister of Iona Siu. My parents died long before the rebellion. My family is not fake, they are real- the only fake one here is you." The young girl would loosen her grip on her dagger and she would attempt to poke a piece of the fabric from Frederick's clothes near his neck. "That's your final warning. Next time- it'll be your neck."

Well, she knew her truth. Frederick could not deny her mindful aspects, but the sovereign kept pressing. As the dagger's tip poked through his fabric lightly, he leaned in so it would appear that was about to pierce through some skin. His hazel gaze narrowed threateningly. "You are a descendant of our country, Katherine," his whispered persuasively. "Take a shot at my jugular if you have no doubting thoughts in the back of your mind." He threw his hands outwards and leaned forward more. A smirk appeared. This was going to be quite the interesting experience, now wasn't it?

His hands would come up to the dagger slowly, aiming to clasp around the metal. "Do it." If successful, the edge of the blade would pierce his palm. "I don't believe you would kill your king, dear." The sovereign's brows lowered as he squinted into her own gaze, hoping that she would fall for his classic trick. Her shudders only signaled her discontent of the situation. Peer pressure may just set her over the edge.

KEROSENE
Katherine
Her glare narrowing even more as Frederick spoke, the girl would frown and she pulled the blade back as he grabbed it, hoping to cut his palm as she did. "Don't touch me." Katherine spat in his direction while she proceeded to step away from him. "You are no king of mine. My family is loyal to Prometheus and those who become our King after him. You banished our people for being freaks, for having supernatural powers that the Gods were only supposed to have. What was the purpose of that?"

Slash. Crimson continued to flow from his palm in addition to his previous cut, causing him to wince in pain and move his foot back in shock. His brows furrowed in anger after the initial shock, but he kept his cool. Frederick was only trying to be... polite. If you would even call it that at this point. Seeing that he was trying to swindle someone out of their loyalty, that wasn't so true, but at his actions and words seemed to be so kind-spoken(up until now). Still, he thought he was doing the girl a favor. Who wanted to live in this hood?

He clasped his palm in his other hand and applied pressure. "I am your king, Kathy," he answered back through gritted teeth. Hazel eyes narrowed. "And your family is loyal to me, while your fake ones are loyal to a traitor." As for her other question, he avoided it. Those were controversial opinions. He merely did not want to upset her with 'adult business'. "You'll understand one day."
