The pup let her ears droop as she moved to the nursery. Deep down, she still missed her mother. Of course she missed her mother. Why would she not miss the only family she had. Her brother and mother vanishing had turned her world upside down. The child felt so alone. She had a home and food. Friends to play with. But, she would always sleep alone. Sleeping in the corner of a nursery while happy mothers lay with their babies nearby.
She didn't blame them in the slightest. They should be happy. She just longed to have that happiness. The pup was hardly paying attention to the world around her as she trudged along. That was why she didn't notice the flames that danced on her ear tips. Nor did she see the flames on her tail tip. It wasn't hurting her, so she simply didn't know.
Lost in her thoughts as she headed towards her bed for the night. Her new pink flames noticed only by those looking upon her.
