The creature had been deeply asleep in his home one second. The air was full of an alcoholic, metallic smell. It was peaceful, at least by his standards. After all, how could he feel any differently? As far as his memory permitted, he could remember only him having a deep relationship with alcohol. In fact, he couldn’t remember ever not enjoying it.

The next second, however, he was awake, and he was somewhere entirely different.

Slowly, his eyes blinked and his body felt stiff. Maneuvering himself onto his feet, Corrupttimelines would stand, only to realize something was off. Eyes drifting down to his form, he saw a mass of a rich brown coated in orange speckled upon his paws, and fur!

was he following cory? perhaps. cory was his father after all. or, that was what the small turtle thought. yet, today was strange. the young turtle had no idea why cory was sleeping in, so the child didn't bother lurking about cory's home. nor did the child look into cory's room. instead, the child went out to explore.

coming upon a stranger after a long treck, the tiny thing blinked those curious eyes. only, when the voice left the creatures maw. well, it sounded familiar. "dad..?" the first word came out rough and broken. yet, it was there and it was confused in tone.

in truth, Corrupttimelines was disgusted.

How could he, a being of power and strength, shift into a form such as this? Now he was small, and he was covered in fur. Anger bubbled up in him as he considered the possibilities. One of such, involved him being called a house cat. Frankly, if he heard himself get called that, he would blow a fuse. He would never be a house cat.

Never.

As Vintara spoke, however, his entire demeanor changed. A soft gasp passed his lips and he whipped to the turtle with glee on his face. “Vintara! You-you…!!” he exclaimed, rushing over to the turtle and attempting to put a ginger paw on his back and gentle pat him.

a soft pat on his tiny shell. a form of praise that he was growing to like. he was still confused by this sudden change in his fathers form, though. though, at leas now, he was sure this was his dad. that was the important part, for sure. otherwise, he would have been silly walking up on the strange creature with his dads voice.

the male would decide to just accept this. he would rather enjoy his fathers praise and that was what he would do. the turtle would lift his head up a bit and seemed rather proud of himself. "dad!" he chirped again before opening his mouth in a turtle version of a smile.
