So soon enough I will be changing my character into a calico smilodon (known most commonly as the largest of the saber tooth cats)

My question is if the sizes used on site for these sorts of animal are the averages or if they can get up to the size of the largest fossils even if only one of that size has been found? As these two numbers are *Very* different for smilodon as the average is between two to three feet tall, with many being three or just above, but the largest one found was somewhere slightly above four feet. So can they get up to the largest proven size like a lion or such would, or can they only fit within the average?

[align=center][div style="width:400px; font-size:8.4pt;line-height:1.1;color:#000;font-family:arial;margin-top:3px;margin-bottom:3px;letter-spacing:0px;margin-left:0px;text-align:justify;"]from what i have been able to find the s. populator hits around 120cm / 1.2m which is the height of a tiger and has a similar weight range but these are the ice age smilodons

another one i could find is the machairodus which is more similar to the modern day lion but was still only 120cm / 1.2cm at the shoulder so it feels like they were all around that sort of height range

in general i feel the average would be the one to go for since both of these stand just below four feet and in general follow the height of modern day tigers but can weigh a great deal more

According to the Large Mythical Creature/Extinct Animal item, extinct animals can only get to about 10 feet; basically the size of horse to an elephant.

So since these creatures are smaller than 10 ft, I agree with Grimm Reaper's thoughts; to follow the height of modern day tigers but weighing much more than one.

I'd wait for staff confirmation though!!
