He cringed at Stryker's cackle, but relaxed as he agreed to the cowardice. Then he cringed again when Stryker said he should have taken the throne. Yes, he wanted to be Rex. But his father was far from acknowledging that. His father would have probably reamed him out for letting such a dastardly thing happen to the 'only worthy feline of the family to be Rex'. Those words hurt back then, and they sure as fuck hurt now.
A soft sigh escaping his throat, he shook his head. "I feel more fear than anything. My father would have reamed me out. Probably disown me or worse. My father said I wasn't 'worthy' of ever being in a leading position. Rex, Decidem, or even just battle general. I left so I didn't have to suffer the torture my dad would give me. I would much rather suffer the torture I give myself. At least I know I can handle my own bullshit." He said nothing else, just let the breeze ruffle his bandana as he thought of what else would make sense to say.
