Okay so here's my input on the clique situation:

I feel like one major problem the Ascendants currently have is large numbers of themed characters from the same movie/tv show/book/fandom. I feel like when they're in such large numbers, it quickly becomes a problem, even if it's not intentional. With these type of characters, from what I've seen in the past few weeks and in the past, it's always really hard to plot with these characters. Usually from what I've seen, usually these group of characters have their own little plot revolved around them, and then it can be very difficult to get interactions with them with characters who aren't from the group, and understanding the plot can be confusing.

Though, I don't think these characters overall are a bad, toxic thing- I feel like numbers of characters from the same fandom/show/movie can be done very easily, as long as the roleplayers are engaging and openly plotting with other people outside of the group. Like I myself have a fandom based character, Roy Mustang, and his fiance is here as well. One thing I do that I think is super helpful and makes me feel included with others is by on discord, I will post on character channels. Whether the channel belongs to my character or not, I feel like even a simple 'hey, i think y/c and mine would get along', 'i can totally see y/c and mine doing so and so' or 'omg this just made me think of y/c' can help get bonds and plots with other members going! I honestly haven't used plotting threads on site much, or plotting channels specifically for my character, almost a majority of his plots came from his character channel or others. Or if you'd rather not post in character channels, you can always dm on discord or send a pm on site to the member with plot ideas.

Also, I think the buddy system sounds great!! While I've seen buddy systems fail in the past, I think we should try it, I feel like if we stay determined we can make it successful!!
