vixenfrost was not used to clan life or living with so many others. she just needed time. that was what she kept telling herself everyday. every single day that passed she told herself she was getting better at this. she was only lying to herself, but that was her business. so, as she always happened to do, she was up a tree.

this time it was to pull a dead squirrel from the trees. well, to be fair, he wasn't dead until she got up there. now she was scrambling down with a prize the group could love. barks crumbing down as she finally landed on the ground and dropped her prize. stretching with ease before looking about herself.

Canary had been increasingly more and more agitated as time went on. She was bitter, disappointed in the world around her. Not to mention how exhausted she felt from simple things. She used to have all of the energy of a kit, and now that she was carrying kits, she wanted nothing more than to sleep.

As she trotted back from her patrol, she noticed Vixenfrost. They had a measly squirrel in their possession, and Canary had a fierce urge to steal it. She couldn’t actually hunt on her own thanks to her pregnancy, and she was quite some lengths away from their freshkill pile. Feeling her stomach churn, she would move closer and offer hesitant sniffs.

“You gonna eat that by yourself?” she asked, for once a sort of politeness sneaking into her typically venomous tone.

a voice almost made her jump, but she soon relaxed as she realized it was just canary. the other was likely hungry and so, without much thought, she slide the squirrel over. she never had kits, but she knew it couldn't be easy. that and she knew that food was important. a starving queen was a dangerous one. it was also bad for the kits.

very bad.

i'm not hungry, so you can have the whole thing. the molly was not greedy and she could care less for squirrel meat as it stood. she preferred birds and she only ate other meat when desperate. a picky eater of sorts. you need it more anyways.
