♔ — the journey here had been long, with many stops in between, legs carrying him massive distances to a new home. temporary or not he could not say, it would depend on factors external to him entirely, but the world had so much to offer; staying and rotting among immortal creatures for eternity was starting to become dreadfully boring. endless feasts, glamorous celebrations under the dark twilight-lit woods, fey indulging in their lifestyles without ever seeing a glimpse of the other world when it was so fruitful for manipulation.

a soft hum leaves his throat when the scent hits the back of his throat, sharp eyes staring into the distance. he stands regal and proud in front of the border, relaxed and almost coy, knowing something would come out of the shadows eventually. they always do, and he could be very patient getting what he wanted. he did have an eternity, after all.
