Her scaled and iced over paws made heavy thumps as the giantess approached the gates. From afar, she seemed mostly like a Polar Bear - white-ish fur, bear-like face. But great icy blue wings were attached to her back, and a long dragon tail, covered in ice and white scales and sharp icicle-like barbs, swayed behind her. Her legs were scaled and a light grey, small layers of ice covering them. Her face, at a closer look, had blue horns and spikes crowning her head, with a more dragon-like snout and protruding lower incisors. Her eyes were narrowed and deep blue in coloration.

She looked up at the bell atop the gates, eyeing the rope that would cause said bell to ring. As the air around her swirled and got cooler she stood up on her hind legs, bit down on the rope with her jaws, and pulled down, halting once the bell made its first ring. With that she dropped back onto all fours and sat down, tail curling around her body.

Although polar bears weren't something commonly seen, Vayne was used to such creatures; after all, her adoptive mother Diya was one. Usually. At first, when Vayne approached the gate, she thought she might have been looking at one of Diya's relatives, before realizing how much different this polar bear was from Diya's own form. The creature seemed to be a hybrid of sorts, with ice covering their body. "Hey there." Vayne greeted with a small smile, walking up to the gate but keeping a safe distance from it, in case this creature decided to lash out. "This is The Typhoon, what brings you here?"[glow=COLOR,1,400] ━ ✧*:･ﾟ[/glow]

Ymir was not the first polar bear to grace The Typhoon, just as Vayne was thinking, but she certainly was an interesting one. Roan and Ymir were similar in that they both possessed draconic traits, although the soothsayer's were a little more subtle, with the wings atop his back and the horns curling around his ears. Part of him even wondered if perhaps the other could be related to him through Roxie, somehow. It might've seemed ridiculous to anyone not familiar with his family, but he was technically related to Lutum, so anything really seemed possible.

The siamese's tail was flicking around behind him as he wandered over, sitting down beside Vayne. He couldn't help the way that he sat a little closer to her than usual, the medic worried about her ever since she had been snatched away from them all. He wouldn't express it aloud, of course, but the feeling was still there. As his tail curled securely around his paws, Roan spoke in an intrigued mrow, "If you're here to join, you've certainly picked an interesting place to stay." The tropical environment of The Typhoon didn't seem all that ideal for the thick pelt of a polar bear, but he supposed Ymir didn't have many other options. Tanglewood and The Pitt had more humid climates, and from what he knew of the Palm Glades, they were most similar to The Typhoon. There was the Coalition's territory, sure, but who the fuck would want to live there?

Ymir grinned gently, leaning her neck forward slightly as Vayne spoke. "Halló! gaman að hitta þig." She rumbled gently, shaking her fur a little bit. She was about to speak a little more when she looked to Roan. "Halló! hlýjan þýðir lítið fyrir mig. Ég heiti Ymir." The air around her grew cold, and some ice formed around the fur on her neck.

Translation 1 - Hello! nice to meet you.

Translation 2 - Hello! the warm means little to me. My name is Ymir.

Ah, shit. Vayne tried not to make it obvious, but she didn't understand anything of what Ymir just said. Or at least, most of it. Halló was kind of obvious, and she assumed that Ymir was this hybrid's name. Regardless, Vayne still didn't know what the majority of the creature just said. "Uh. D-do you speak English?" God, that sounded rude. Very, very rude. God damnit. "I-I can't understand, sorry." She glanced at Roan, as if trying to see if he was just as clueless as her.[glow=COLOR,1,400] ━ ✧*:･ﾟ[/glow]
