So how to recap the last month?
Oh man...
That is pretty awkward.
The last month or so was a give and take time for Morrison. There were some days were he was hustling on his feet, ready to go on a new adventures. Other days, his body ached and he felt like he was going to keel over onto his face. More often than not, his days were starting to become littered with coughing and sniffling in disgrace. For a man in his prime (NOT.), he shouldn't feel so peculiar. Yet here he was. The great captain of The Typhoon knocked on his feet because of what... a cold? Pathetic.
A sneezing, snorting mess that reeked of alcohol and dread peeked out from the Anchored Tempest's captain's quarters. Matted fur covered in unknown bodily fluids and dried meals came into the light for the first time in days, practically sizzling in the heat. Weary orange eyes squinted out at the sun. Morrison contemplated staying inside, but he couldn't take it anymore. He needed interaction.
Like a drunken vampire meandering into death, the captain emerged completely from his room and into the golden light. His gaze surveyed the area, but no one appeared to be around. With no one on deck in what seemed like days (besides himself), the area was looking quite rough and dusty. He offered a shrug and stumbled forward towards the side of the ship. That could be dealt with later.
His long snout poked over the ship's side, followed by tired navy features. The waves swirled in front of his eyes as he wobbled on his toes. The water lapped at the boat's edge and entangled his gaze. In interest, he leaned over a bit more, only to feel his stomach rise into his throat. What came next does not need to be described. Fucking disgusting.
With a clear head and stomach, he whisked away the thought of a bad day. If the pirates could not come to him personally, then he could see them from afar, right? He woozily, though cautiously, stood by the boat's side with his head held high. Drunken pride led him to lurch forward and let out a howl. "PIRAAAAATES," he started off with. "GET YA FUCKIN ASSES OVER HERE!" Mid-way, he coughed, but kept his composure. "WE'RE HAVING AN IMPROMPTU MEETING BECAUSE I'M BORED OF BEING COOPED UP..." A wretched snarl started to form as he tried to hold back a sneeze. "AND S... ST... STAY BACK!" Achoo! A paw pointed down at the docks and beach where they would be far from his germs as he bent down to snot.
This was going to be interesting.
[ Hi everyone! First of all, I want to apologize for my inactivity. As some of you know, the last month has been pretty rough for me and it's been a trip. From spraining my ankle, putting my furbaby down, catching Covid, losing my ducks, finals/finalizing my thesis, and more, life has been a bit of a rough time. I want to thank all of you have been so patient with my activity, especially as a leader and admin of BoB. Everyone kept the site clean, active, and kind during my downtime and I truly appreciate that. So thank you. I cannot say that more.
I do want to give a big thank you to [member=1079]Quietly [woof][/member] and [member=47]rhosmari[/member] in specific for stepping in during my absence with their characters. Both of their characters are wonderful and provided some amazing context to The Typhoon/COTC in the meantime. I look forward to plotting with them more. <3
Once again, sorry, I will definitely be more active from now on. Just know that I'm still recovering (currently dealing w/ post-COVID symptoms) and trying to mentally clear myself. Thank you everyone for being patient, caring, and understanding during this time.
