TAKEN WAY TOO SOON-
The creature walked with a steady gait, head lowered until it's black eyes spotted the railroad trail. It's wolfish head lifted and it started to walk, it's movements deerlike and graceful as it tread. It's head swiveled on it's neck, examining the waters around. Perhaps, this was not the best area to call home. But it shrugged and continued on for a while.
For a while the creature thought it would never see the end, but before long it came across the gate. Black eyes stared upward, up to the bell that hung overhead. With gentle steps it went to the rope that led to said bell and pulled. DING, DONG, DING, DONG... and it echoed for a moment. The spirit snorts, paws stepping around when it stopped, hearing, and smelling, creatures underneath. It looked downward, past the floorboards to find the bucket of snakes.
It gently stepped back, black fabric flowing around it's antlers in a gentle breeze. Certainly that wasn't the welcoming committee, was it?
