I used to hear a simple song
that was until you came along- ꧂

The sound of soft breathing was all that rung out around the feline. They barely even moved as they rested underneath a brush, ears swiveling as they listened for the tale tale signs of pawsteps drawing closer. And for a while they didn't hear anything, leaving them to wait with baited breath for anything to happen. And then they heard it. The first sound of someone drawing closer and closer. And then they stopped causing curiosity to drift through the snow leopard.
Saturn had agreed to train with Merlin today, acting as prey for her to find in a way to help her regain her sense of smell. It was a fun activity for the leopard, allowing them to run free in their smaller form once again and just in general get to feel innocent and like they're playing a game of hide and seek. It was nice to get to spend time with the lioness, they hadn't had much of a chance to interact with her other than in passing so getting to finally do so was refreshing.
Their head poked out of the bush when they heard Merlin rush past, confusion filtering through them. Saturn's head tilted to the side as they listened to her call out. "Merlin!" they called out as she took off. "You're supposed to be hunting me not the deer," they teased with a giggle.
