Sherbet, finally home for the first time in a long while, the walls of his Captain's Quarters battered but still beautiful and held up against the storm. Folding in on himself, he sighed as the ice cream tabby took in the place he'd yet to really make feel like home (he had just gotten used to his old hut, now he'll have to move everything here, that survived anyway). Feeling a burst of annoyance, Sherbet paced in agitation, having realized that all his blueprints were washed away. Then, he heard something. Twisting around, the male found the egg he brought back from the beach shaking and breaking, and felt all the tension leave him again as he breathed, "Oh, you're alive."

Carefully lowering himself down in front of the egg, he placed his paws in a wide angle as he watched the pale chick break loose from her egg. Gently reaching out, the Captain tapped the chick's head with a pawpad, a very soft smile on his maw, "Hello, there. Glad to see you've finally joined us."
