The sabertooth’s large paws struck the snow soundlessly, yet scored deep tracks. Three rabbits hung from xyr jaws, framed by xyr oversized fangs, and their pairs of hind legs swayed so far off the ground, Wuyi didn’t need to worry about their paws catching on the underbrush. For xem, such small prey was hardly worth storing, but there were many smaller predators in the Frostguard to feed.

However, before Wuyi reached the prey cache, xe heard the sound of a laughing cub. It was an unusual sound to hear in the dead of winter, so xyr course shifted slightly westward, and, in no time at all, xe rounded the library to see the lynx cub playing in the snow. Xyr wings relaxed; no trouble at all, nothing to worry about.

Wuyi raised a wing to wave a greeting to the cub, and turned to head towards the food cache. Unless the cub wanted to chat or eat one of xyr caught rabbits, xyr first priority was drop the meat into storage.
