After being shown around a bit, Raymond couldn't help but be prospective of what was to come in his new home. Even though he had his sights set on The Typhoon for his father, he had no intention of staying there. He would finish his business and leave. After all, he needed the closure. In light of that though, the panther needed somewhere to stay and a place to rest his head. On the hunt he went.

Paws paraded through the town square, looking at each home with interest. The ones he grew fond of, sadly, were unavailable. From the short stone hut to the brick house, those at the back of the territory all appeared to be taken by other newcomers or were already developed into family homes. Other homes at the front were destroyed by the tropical storm, leaving debris and pieces of them scattered across the land. There seemed to be no hope. Searching from top to bottom, Raymond could not find a single place to lay down.

That was until he found a smaller home on the territory's edge after a long walk. The sides were wooden and stacked, indicating it was a cabin. Wooden planks were covered in moss and vines, unkempt and wild. It was a fixer upper from the outside, clearly, but the panther found it to be homely. It was something he could work on progressively and make his own. A kingdom of his own.

Paws pressed on the cabin's door. The rusted hinges creaked as it opened and revealed the inside. From Raymond's first impression, it appeared empty. There was no furniture. Not a trinket or trophy to be seen either. The big cat stepped through the entrance and stood inside. He let out a pleased hum. It echoed off the walls and bounced back into his eardrums. While it was empty, the home was pleasant. He had never had anything besides the basics in the first place, so this was not much different than his previous residence.

All the home needed was a little love. Raymond had trouble expressing that feeling, but he could at least make things look presentable in the meantime. He walked over to the windowsill near the back of the cabin, placing a paw upon it's edge and wiping the dust off of it. With a disgusted green glare, he used his breath to blow the rest off. It scattered into the air and floated to the floor. His tail swiped dust particles into a pile then moved on. With the next window, he did the same exact thing... and the next... and the next.

Eventually, all windows had been cleared of their dust. Raymond, looking up, stared at the high beams on the ceiling, but disregarded them for the moment. Their dust, and potential bugs, were for another time. For now, he could barely reach them. Instead, he moved along with dusting the rest of the area with dark paws and a soft tail.

With a pile beneath his feet, he let out a huff. As a result, some of the scraps went flying and caused him to let out a sharp: "FUCK!"
