What a weird name to have taken on after her separation from her living parent. Was she anything like her name? Perhaps she was and she just masked it well. The death of her father had not been forgotten. She never blamed Aesior for what happened back then and when she got lost, well.. She never blamed him then ether.
She couldn't let the past define her and she took her name not because of who she was, but to let her past go. She had always been Venom. The impulse part was new and she clung to it like a banner of her stupid choices. A reminder to never let the past haunt her. To never make dumb choices and to think first. She knew what she had done and what she needed to do.
Perhaps that was why she did not agree with the way others spoke about Cory and his return. No, it was an impulsive decision that led Cory to leave and that was fine. He had things to handle and she understood that to a deeper level. She made a choice that caused her to lose everything. She did not want to see Cory suffer alone as she had. Besides, it was clear how Cory felt about Aesior and that her father felt the same about him.
That made her understand on a deeper level that what Cory needed was time. Time and someone in his corner besides her father. So she decided to be that someone. She had been there for his panic attack. She made the call then. That was why she was standing outside his home now. Why she was knocking on the door she had once so carelessly entered.
