The day was blistering hot, sun beating unrelentingly down upon his back. Olalla made his way across the rocky ground with Kold and Waylon at his side. Waylon was a new face - even if he had never seen his real face - but he was pleasantly surprised by how bright and breezy Waylon seemed to be. At least for now.
His eyes locked with Kold's and Waylon's as he slowly crept over the ridge that overlooked the sandy slip that passed through the canyon and out towards the crystal waters of the Typhoon. The three had one chance at this and once chance only, before the cattle fled into Typhoon's territory. It was a bold move, especially with how on edge the two other groups were. But The Pitt needed these cattle.
The pens were up, food was ready and water was available to them. They were RIGHT there, right for the taking. He cast a glance toward Waylon - how this kid didn't die of a heat stroke was beyond him - and nodded toward the opening of the canyon. If Waylon were to head the four riders off and beat them to the canyon's mouth, then Kold could scare the cattle away while Olalla and Waylon distracted them.
In all honesty, Olalla would have loved to scare the cattle but he was, still, sick and his body would not be able to sprint as fast as he liked. Afterall, he knew Kold would appreciate him not being the center of all plans this time.
