The crunch of her footfalls on the ground was the only sign she was there. Stealth had always been her thing. The cougar was trained as a cub for her line of work. Yet, here she was. Running from said job and leaving the past behind her. She hated all that her past had brought to her. Losing her kids, her husbands all trying to kill her, and now she walked with a limp. Her left leg. Damaged from a bad fall during a fight. She had never been the same sense.

She hoped her luck would change. She would find a new home and live there without fear. She was not sure about finding love or a family. After all, once bitten twice shy. So, she avoided the thought all together. Start small and work her way up to such daring things. The woman snorted at the thought. Paws coming to a stop as she smelled a scent. A border. She knew that smell was a clear sign of a group.

So, she sat. Patiently waiting.
