- In general, Ian is not very eye catching. Standing at a bit above average height, he has a lean - though not quite skinny - build, though he carries this frame with the utmost confidence and authority. His coat starts with a pure white base and is marked with black across his eyes and ears, and it also splashes across his back left leg and a bit on his front left leg. His fur is relatively short in length and always meticulously well-kept. His facial features are sharp and serious, something that is not at all helped by his ever-stern expression, though it is his eyes that are probably his most noticeable feature, being shades of bright, icy blue.

-----It is not uncommon for individuals to keep their feelings under lock and key, and while Ian is certainly one of these individuals, he's something of a special case. As a child, Ian was taught that he was to always keep his emotions in check and put away in preference of making decisions based on logic, and always from an objective point of view, in order to better serve his community. While he adopted his society's practices without question - as one often does as a child - the results of his peculiar upbringing had permanent, often less than desirable affects on his personality.

-----Ian typically comes off as brusque and professional, like a robot programmed to perform specific tasks. Naturally confident and sure of his logic-based decisions, he is quick to let you know if he disagrees with you or thinks your idea is foolish, and is far from sensitive about it. He appears to care little for the feelings of others - and, often, this is true. Ian is not a time waster, and he has little time to worry about upsetting someone when there's work to be done. He always prefers to enact justice over awarding forgiveness, but, at the very least, this coldness makes him the perfect candidate for positions that require difficult decision making.

-----Despite this, he definitely has prominent personality traits that stick out that he makes no effort to conceal - or perhaps, they are so deeply ingrained into his identity he doesn't even notice them. Ian's proper, mechanical behaviour is offset by his snarky attitude - he has a surprisingly snide, sarcastic streak in him that takes mercy on none, and becomes even more severe in response to a person he dislikes. Insults leave his lips so naturally and automatically they're sometimes hard to notice, especially given that his cadence never seems to change much and his expansive vocabulary doesn't stop at his sassy remarks. Less noticeable but still relevant are his tendencies to be headstrong, stubborn, and, surprisingly reckless - he tends to take unnecessary, albeit calculated, risks, and doesn't like to have his decisions undermined or questioned.

------details, bring it all together!! explain his shielding of emotions/desire to not have any - his society's expectations?? struggle with his determination to ignore them and just do his job - isn't good at coping with them in any other way besides bottling them up. consciously avoids getting close with people but not always that good at staying away. sassy bitch 24/7 - sarcasm !!. often doesn't see issue with laying it out as it is - can be pretty insensitive to others' feelings. shuts down other people's opinions/ideas if he thinks they're stupid or wrong, not a time waster. is also not afraid to speak out about his own opinions and beliefs. an asshole at times but not for the sake of being an asshole - just doesn't see any issue in his actions. Not opposed to lying/exposing others of wrongdoings if it serves a purpose. Can be headstrong, stubborn, and reckless - tends to take unnecessary (but calculated) risks. Overestimates himself while simultaneously beating himself up for feeling things he thinks he shouldn't. Protects his few loved ones fiercely and holds them close - overprotective?? his love can be distant & frustrating for others due to his reserved, often chilly mannerisms, and he often fails to voice his affections properly. shows love via action, explanations not good at talking about his emotions even if he wants to. respects authority but will act against it if they go against his own moral compass. justice over forgiveness. disciplined.

CHILDHOOD-
- A vital influence in Justinian's behaviours is his upbringing. He was born into a society that encouraged logic, knowledge, organization, and duty over any sort of emotional, impulsive action. Therefore, he spent the entirety of his youth focused not only on educating himself in the classical sense, but also on learning to tune out his feelings in all aspects of his life. Emotion was permitted only in certain circumstances, and affection was only to be shown in the most respectful and specific of ways. However, he stood only halfway in this society, with his mother entering the community through marriage and her never quite taking on the customs that were expected of her. As a result, Ian was often an outcast among other children, but instead of embracing his differences, he worked extra hard to ignore them. Now on the road to adulthood and never quite welcome in his home, he set off on a journey of his own, claiming a pursuit of knowledge as his naturally curious mind leads him on to better things.
