Taking the apparition's incoherent speech as a threat, the samoyed growled beneath its icy mask. Its ankle rings returned to their liquid form, forming one large ring of water around its body.
Everything about the creature in front of it was alien and incomprehensible. Somewhere in the back of its mind, the cream samoyed felt a tinge of curiosity among its fear. Unlike everything the dog had ever known, the strange feline appeared to be peaceful.
It stepped forward until its ring of water was nearly touching the apparition. Whatever the thing was, the canine wanted to know it was safe.
