THERE’S VACANCY IN EVERY NIGHTMARE
Rosemary picked her way through a meadow of wildflowers, her nose twitching from the pollen. Bees swirled in the air, circling flower after flower, and she left them to their business. She hummed to herself as she picked a bundle of witch hazel (Hamamelis virginiana), rolling the plants between her toe beans and dropping the damaged pieces to the soil.
The ocelot wandered from the Typhoon’s territory only for good reason. Getting a strange quest from one of the friendly folks around here… well, in Rosemary’s mind, that qualified. Picking up a plant that didn’t grow in the jungle island was also a happy bonus.
She finished pressing the witch hazel between pages of a blank notebook, and stored the bundle in her satchel. “If any… questgiver? Questgiver. If any of you are around, I would love to meet you,” Rosemary called.
