Pushing from her nest as the sun became to crest the tree tops the owl took flight. It was odd for her to change her sleeping patterns so much and she was used to sleeping during the day but there seemed to be more going on when the sun was high. So she found herself awake during daylight hours. Her stomach groaned and growled her hunger and she sighed softly. They didn't want her trespassing so to speak and stealing their food. Well, they would have to get over themselves. She wasn't about to starve when there was avaliable food in the area. As she left the island she had decided to make her home she scanned over the ocean, listening and watching the waters. She had never tried to fish before and the idea of trying was intriguing but she felt like it would be fruitless. Still perhaps she would try one day and the sea gave away to the land once more. The land of these pompous Four Legs. With an click of her beak she soared over the canopy, watching the Walkers with ease as they went about their day. She didn't know what they were doing nor did she find herself actually caring. Instead she turned her sharp gaze to the jungle. It was shore she sunk down lower into with a few strokes of her wings.

Leaves brushed her feathers and she angled herself around, taking the time to listen to her surroundings. It was then that her eyes sharply locked on her prey. A field mouse scurrying in the underbrush. Her metal clad talons curled slightly as she circled around and then she steeped her flight pattern into a dive. Talons reaching forward the sharp and longer metal claws scrapped as she hit her target and they sunk into the flesh of her kill. With heavy strokes and a powerful gust of wind she was back into the air just as quickly before she landed and hopped along the branch of the tree. The high pitched squeaking had been decimated with the hit of her claws and she looked down at the small vermin, tilting her head slightly. She could have killed it better but it would suffice.
