Hydrostatic Cipher-D'Angelo was born on March 15, 2021, along with his littermates, Angelembrace and Asmodeus, to Aphra Cipher and Jormungand D'Angelo. On March 16, 2021, Hydro was there when the Coalition of the Condemned had a mudslide. On March 28, 2021, Jormungand was exiled from the Coalition and Hydrostatic followed his father to The Pitt. On May 13, 2021, Dante took him to the Ashen City, telling him about The Pitt's history.

On May 20, 2021, Hydrostatic visited the Coalition right after the rescue raid The Typhoon lead. On May 26, 2021, Dante Northwest took over The Pitt and promoted Hydrostatic to Skald on that same day.
