Disgraceful timing.

The tragedy of the tropical storm hit the Coalition of the Condemned with a forceful strike, knocking them down a peg. Romulus' preparations for the Autumn Equinox had been practically ruined. There was only so much left to celebrate with, but with homes destroyed and lives lost, there was more to focus on. The Autumn Equinox was a day to mourn their dead and that's what the kingpin intended to do, along with the other festivities, but mainly focusing on prepping for the winter to come. The weather had already been an issue. Hopefully, he dearly believed, that it wouldn't be an issue any further. Best to prepare and reconstruction what was left though.

After observing the damage done, the lion set out to the central island and stood at the serpent's mouth once again. A sigh left him. He did not feel comfortable celebrating their plunders when it all went to waste, but he hoped the others could cheer him up in the meantime. Nevertheless, the lion let out a call. "WANDERERS, PLEASE GATHER FOR THE BEGINNING OF THE AUTUMN EQUINOX!"

so soon after the storm he would call forth a celebration? inferno let out a small huff but nonetheless padded over to her uncle. grown adults have grown adult ways, she supposed. ways she would never understand. the girl sat down with a quizzical expression on her face, unsure about how the other coalitioners would feel about this. she was leaning slightly towards the thought that romulus had gone cuckoo-insane, but she thought that the equinox would distract some from the aftermath of what had happened. hopefully everything could be rebuilt in time, in case the little ones saw any debris and remembered.

His canter towards the meeting hall picked up once he realized he spent too much time dawdling, and he made it just in time to see Inferno was there.
