The heat was making her nervous. Excitable. Worried. Ares couldn't focus with Requiem chattering in the mindspace, wishing to at least take form for a bit. You will be in control, you will speak your thoughts. You will move the body with ease, we will not let you lose control. In the end, Elsweyr's collapse at the emergency meeting was terrifying for her. Scary. They were going to be okay, the swamp was going to be okay. The heat would pass soon enough.

It was early morning, sky dusted soft candy colors, and the feathered raptor - Deinonychus, sat in ankle deep waters. Wings splayed, sea mist spraying into feathers. Such a beast who had caused terror twice seemed to peaceful as it sat, eyes closed, head bent down. Waves soaked her feathers. Her body seemed completely still, save for slight breathing that caused her sides to expand and contract with each gentle breath.

Everyone was on edge lately and Elsweyr passing out during the meeting didn't help matters. Vigenere was just as affected by the heat as everyone else and figured that maybe going out early in the morning might make things easier as he patrolled around the territory. For him, this was meditation. Patrolling and doing busy work kept his mind off things. At first, the sight of a feathered dinosaur made Vigenere wary, but then he recalled that he had heard of Ares having a spare body in which she often was a dinosaur. Plus, the Tanglewood scent coming from the large reptile was also another obvious sign that this was a friend, not foe.

"You're up early." Vigenere mused as he padded closer to Ares, a teasing smile on his face and his tail tip twitching. "Worried about something?" Everyone was, he knew it was a stupid question.
