Her lightly painted paws were coated with a thick layer of fresh mud while dried earth clung to her underside. nerina's legs were burning with exhaustion as she finally reached the forest after an excruciating yet incomplete journey. He blonde ears pressed hard against her skull as she collapsed under one of the twisted oaks.

the young wolf had decided then and there that she was going to take a break and perhaps get some shut eye before carrying onward with this trek. she just hoped she would wake before the sun set since the terrain was unfamiliar and she was unsure she could even find her way to wherever she was going anyways.

when she finally esxaped her slumber it would seem it was too late. The sun had already foudn its way from its throne in tbe sky and a bright moon had taken its place. There was still enough light to navigate the territory but the mud-crusted canine quickly gave into defeat as it seemed she was just traveling in circles. in a bout of frustration she would part her thin lips and let out a howl. Surely someone would find her, right?  [tt][/tt]

the woman would be greeted with a broken chirp. hi. he was struggling to learn to speak, but at least he was trying. the moon above showed his tiny form on the muddy ground as he looked way up at the larger creature. head tilting he seemed confused as to what word he was looking for now.

name? was that it? he was not sure, but he heard it before somewhere else.

Much to Cory’s dismay, his child had begun to run around camp alone quite frequently. A majority of the time, the infant snapping turtle didn’t get into too much trouble. He would play and sort things, or clean and investigate. This time, however, he had wandered off and found himself much further from the town than he would’ve liked.

Following his scent, the feline trotted up to the border in a quick pace. At first, he was going to scold his child for disappearing on him. However, a sense of pride swelled up within his chest. He was learning so fast, and mostly without Cory’s assistance.

the female heard of a newcomer approaching the borders and followed the scent to the commotion. the reaper came to a halt, swishing her tail and watching vintara ask nerina for her name. the coyote studied the young wolf - she had potential to become a good tangler. like the rest of her group she waited for a name and hopefully a reason as to why she was here.
