The Guide to Gems
-- most of the information in this guide can be found in the shop section of the site, though for ease of access, this guide is here to help those who may need it, or those who may not fully understand the shop's description.
- What are gems? Gems are the site's currency. To see how many you have, you will go to the top of the site and click on the tab that says "shop". Once there, it will tel you how many gems are in your pocket and your bank.
- What are gems used for? The gems on the site are used for buying things from the shop - such as powers and different types of animals that can be roleplayed - as well as things from other members around the site - such as art, fancyposts, and other forms of coding.
- How do I get gems? Gems are obtained through posting on the site, making an account, and transferring them to another user. When posting, you get 500 gems per new topic - or thread - 100 gems per post, and 2 gems per word, with a maximum of 50000 gems. When a new account is registered, the user gets 5000 gems put into their account automatically.
- How do I transfer gems to another user? Once again, you will need to go to the top of the site and click the tab that says "shop", once there, on the left, there is a link that will say "send money to someone". Enter in the person's username and the amount to send, as well as an optional message, and it will send to the person. Just make sure when doing this, you have the amount of gems you are trying to send or else it won't work.
- How do I use the bank? The bank is under the "shop" tab as well, and is used for storing gems, as well as gaining interest on the gems that are in there. To use the bank, you will go to the "shop" tab, click on the link that says "bank" and then enter in the amount of money you wish to transfer from your account. For every day your gems are in the bank, they earn an interest rate of 0.2% ( which means if you have 1000 gems in the account, the next day you will get 2 more added )
- How do I buy something in the shop? In order to buy things from the shop, you would need to go to the shop, and click the link that says "Buy Stuff". Once there, it will show a variety of items that are available for purchase from the site, as well as how much it costs and how many more gems you will need if you do not have enough to buy it yet.
- Can I trade items? Under the shop tab, there is a link to the left titled "Trade Items", once there, at the bottom there will either be a variety of items, or nothing. If there are items there, that means someone else put their items up for trade, though if there is nothing, then no one had done so yet. In order to trade your own items, you will click on "Your Inventory" on the left, and then click on the "trade item" option. The item will go to the trade screen, and when someone buys it from you, you will get a notification through PM.
- What happens to merged accounts? When you merge accounts/get rid of accounts in any way, all of the gems that you earned from that account will not go to the new account/will be gotten rid of. If you want to keep these gems you will have to transfer them over before merging/deleting.
