Short legs with a long body and long tail, Chevy is predominantly cat-like in appearance except for the appearance of scales on his face, neck, and majority of the lower half of his body. His back, front legs, back of his neck, forehead, ears, and cheeks are furred. Everything else is scaled. The color and patterns of a red-sided garter transfer over to his fur, making a uniform color palette. His eyes are a dark amber. His teeth are mainly snake-like.

Garters tend to be very social creatures, and this hybrid is no different. He loves being around others and is very kind and loving. He very easily gets lonely (Garters kept in captivity are extremely tightly bonded with each other, if one is alone it could very well become depressed or even die). He's hard to provoke but if you break his trust it takes a long time to gain it back.
