Jotunhel wasn't exactly a discreet wyvern. He wore his heart on his sleeve, metaphorical as it was. Might as well have been there, with just how often the beast found himself absolutely stunned by the appearances of his peers. It was just... unfair? His heart felt like it was going to burst if he didn't do something about this! He wasn't sure what to do about it, though. His wing had begun to near being fully healed, which he would use in constructing the method of fixing this issue.

A hopeless romantic, Jotunhel recalled being dubbed many a time by his peers before leaving his home. Too much love stored in the feathered mythical beast, and no where to put it. Beezlebub was a great partner, who would actually put up with his love-filled smothering but... the dragon, he hadn't seen them since he'd arrived. He was still looking, sure (he had no doubts the bee was getting up to their normal antics elsewhere, and it'd only be a matter of time before the two were reunited), but he figured this would be a good use of Jotunhel's time in the meanwhile. Beezle wouldn't mind, he knew - asked about it not too many months into their actual relationship, which was good for both parties.

The construction was shotty but swift, and the wyvern had effectively stolen a kid's lemonade design and used it for his current means. There the wyvern sat on the other side, his tail swinging slowly behind him. Simple was the scratchy, written sign that Jotunhel put up. 'Kiss/Compliments for free : )' Straight to the point, which was good! Fast, easy solution, and a grin was present on the king fisher wyvern's face as he waited for customers to, hopefully, arrive.

Trotting down the beach, Rosemary’s floral-scented satchel bounced against her shoulder. She’d spent the morning collecting a fair amount of shells (for trading) and various plants (for drying and storing), but once the temperatures climbed enough to drain her energy, the witch headed back to the island’s main settlement. Her earlier isolated walk fostered a social spirit, somewhat unusual for her, and she thought of heading to the Capricorn Tavern for the rare non-tea drink.

Her paws hesitated once she saw the wyvern’s rickety booth. She reconsidered her options: go to the Tavern and miss Michael’s chatty bartending or gamble on an interesting encounter with a new crewmate. When she decided, her four eyes zeroed in on Jotunhel, and she resumed her trot down the beach in his direction.

“Morning, Jotunhel. I hope the wing’s healing well?” Her smaller pair of eyes glanced at his on-the-mend wing, silently appraising the healing process, though she never took her attention off the dragon. “So… how does this work, exactly?”

She licked her teeth and bit back the impulse to ask for trade. The sign said free, after all, so he’d probably feel insulted. Even so, Rosemary was so used to bartering for healing supplies from other group that she nearly started bartering anyway. She silently wondered whether this meant she needed more social interaction that wasn’t facilitated by trade.

After being lost in thought for a moment, she cleared her throat and shook her head. “Um, if it’s not too much trouble, maybe just a compliment. You’re very handsome, but kissing acquaintances isn’t really my favorite thing, you know?”

Ah! His first customer! A warm grin grew on the wyvern's face as he leaned against the shabby shack he was using as a booth. Well, maybe not shack, but he didn't care too much about that. First customer! His tail wriggled behind him, and he shuffled closer with his fluffy and webbed feet. Another with four eyes, oh, how wonderful.

"Ah, of course! A compliment for someone as great as you is very easy to come with. Four eyes, they allow you to see all the beauty of yourself, don't they?" He rubbed his cheek with a talon. Handsome, huh? How sweet. Had he skin, one probably would notice his face reddening briefly with such a nice compliment coming his own way. Dang. Jotunhel mentally stumbled for a moment, a talon tapping against the wooden board. "It is no trouble at all! You can rest your selfless nature if you'd like. How tiresome it is, to be so grand," the fluffy wyvern rumbled, a hum sounding after he finished and tipped his head afterwards.
