The Lioness hurt. Relationships once there were broken now, estranged family were all that was left - and even then, it was only Lucinder. He wasn't a bad kid. Not at all, actually. From what she remembered of him, he was pretty okay. Her wings twitched as she stood outside the door to what she assumed was his house. She could very well be wrong, but since he was older, she assumed that he had gotten himself a house.

A gentle tapping against the door with her paw should be enough to alert whoever was inside, Lucinder or not, but her gentle voice carried in the air. "Lucinder, can we speak..?" Even then, she was hesitant.

he missed his mother. flames burned on his skin, dull, small, matching his mood. he remembered her, how commanding she had been, but then simply slaughtered. body dumped on their land like it was nothing. he remembered that day very well. the flames burnt brighter, adjusting, and a shiver ran across his body as he heard a tap on his door.
he had moved out a while ago, promising his father that he'd visit plenty to reassure the man. lifting his head from his resting position he called out, "come in, whoever you are."
he wasn't sure who'd want to visit him, he wasn't even that interesting.

Her eyes widened, and relief sparked her paws. So, it was Lucinder's house. Mustering enough strength, she opened the door and walked inside, slowly, delicately. "It's me, Ares." She said above a whisper, closing the door behind her. In a stark contrast to the event of her house being burned by herself, Ares was scared. She didn't want to destroy any relationship with Lucinder. She needed an anchor.
