THE DRAGOONS ALWAYS COME BACK FROM THE BATTLEFIELD
— DRAGOON LORE / HYOYEON AS A DRAGOON / TIAMAT INFORMATION
There is a traditon of knights that hail from Coerthas, a land steeped in myth with floating islands and ruled by the partnership of both drakes and mortals, called Dragoons. Unlike those who tried to take the power of the dragons by force, slaying them and devouring them to steal their essence, the Dragoons were a union between dragon and man, banded together to protect the skies and the land of their world from those that would seek to harm it.

The bond between a dragoon and their dragon is established from an early age. The mantle of a dragoon is passed from parent to child, and if an egg chooses a child, they are trained by the closest related dragoon and dragon to them, usually their parents. Mated pairs of dragons and dragoons are common, so the parents of both the new dragoon and dragon will be involved in raising the pairing.

Dragons are taught the art of war and magic by both their mortal and draconian parents and the combat focuses around the strengths of both the dragon and the dragoon. Aerial combat is preferred over ground-based, and dragoons are taught to ride their dragons and maintain an effective bond between the two. The longer the dragon and dragoon are bonded, the dragoon begins to manifest draconic traits, such as being able to share their breath between the two and tap into the magic of dragons. It is not uncommon for Dragoons to grow wings and take to the skies alongside their dragons.

The ideals of a Dragoon are such ;
— Act as a guardian of one's home and the world around them.
— Maintain the balance of nature, even if nature is cruel.
— Regard your Dragon as an extension of yourself, and place it above all things in your life.
— Help those that are in need as long as they do not conflict with your morals.

Hyoyeon is still training as a dragoon, but has lost her mentor. Both her and Tiamat have already bonded, but Tiamat is currently too small for her to ride and has not developed her breath weapon yet. As of such, they have been separated from Coerthas with no way to go home, so must seek out other mentors and dragons to try and teach them. Hyoyeon and Tiamat both have very basic combat training but have a long way to go before they are a true Dragoon and Dragon pairing.

Current progress ;
— Tiamat and Hyoyeon share a bond between each other which allows them to share thoughts, feelings and memories with each other. Any harm that happens to either Tiamat or Hyoyeon will affect the other. They cannot be separated without causing great pain to both over extended periods of time. The bond is fresh and easy to manipulate.
— Hyoyeon is able to tap into the Blood of the Dragon, but only for very short periods of time before she is completely drained. There are currently no benefits to this process, but it does awaken the dragon blood within her and is the first step in order to using dragon magic.
— Tiamat is currently too small to ride, but is growing rapidly.

— DRAGOON LORE / HYOYEON AS A DRAGOON / TIAMAT INFORMATION
Tiamat is a wrymling that is bound to Hyoyeon. She is a silver dragon, known for their social tendencies and brilliant shimmering silver and white scales. Her horns are silvered, swept back from her skull and she has a lithe build. As of know, her breath has not developed, but most silver dragons are able to breath both cold and another breath drawn from the energy of their dragoon.

As she is bonded to a Dragoon, she will grow much faster than a normal dragon would. She will reach her juvenile stage at around 1 - 2 years old, when she will be big enough to ride and develop her breath attack. Her aging will then slow, but she will reach her adult stage due to developing her bond between the dragoon and dragon.

Hyoyeon is unerringly and unending loyal to Tiamat, and the two have the relationship of very close siblings, being the same age. Hyoyeon also would die if Tiamat were to die, and any harm felt by her dragon she will also feel.

Hyoyeon is allied with the Ascendants, but views it more as a place to stay rather than a group that she cares about. That being said, she does want to rise up the ranks and impress people, so she puts effort into helping around the group and trying to find a good mentor.

— FULL DESCRIPTION: hyoyeon is a domestic feline on the shorter side with short solid brown fur. her eyes are a bright green. delicate is not something that could ever be applied to yeon, she has a stocky build and looks stronger than most felines her age. she is usually scruffy, neglecting to maintain her appearance and is usually covered in small cuts or carrying injuries at any given time from pushing herself to train better, be harder, faster, stronger. another defining feature is her dragon, Tiamat. A small silver dragon which looks regal and almost delicate compared to Yeon, with sweptback horns and white and silver scales that glitter like freshly fallen snow.

— FULL DESCRIPTION: There are those that are born with storms in their souls and lightning in their blood. Hyoyeon is one of those people, reckless, brash, impulsive and loud. With a ringing laughter and a cheer like the cracks of thunder, she is one that is easily missed, and she wouldn't have it any other way. She isn't vain, concerned with her vanity as one might think, but she is concerned with her reputation, what people think of her - whether they consider her as she thinks she should be known - a dragoon and a fearless combatant, brave and loyal and true.

She is not perhaps the true that she supposes she should be. Whilst Hyoyeon tries to hold herself to the standards of the Legendary Dragoons that she is descended from, it can be said that their legacy only half rings true in their daughter. Yes, she is brave, that is without a doubt. Hyoyeon can often be found training, either working on her synergy with Tiamat or her own combat skills, trying to live up the fearless riders duos that she wants to emulate. Hyoyeon also treasures Tiamat like her soulmate, her best friend, her sister, and the two are inseparable. Sometimes they disagree, as all are like to do, but they usually are able to make up.

It's when Hyoyeon's more selfish nature shows that she seems like knightly. She is impulsive, always throwing caution to the wind to jump into something headfirst. Paired with the short attention span and getting bored of things quickly, Hyo often puts herself and others in unnecessary danger and tries to shirk off the consequences onto other people. She finds it hard to trust others and ask for help or admit failure. Her emotions are hard for her to control, and often are let own in explosive abrasive arguments and biting harsh comments.
